De son c\u00f4t\u00e9, la vitesse et la r\u00e9gularit\u00e9 de Naomichi Uramoto sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 tr\u00e8s respect\u00e9es dans le paddock EWC. The team will contest the championship in the Formula EWC class, the premier category of the series.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p>From this season onward, AutoRace Ube Racing Team will officially operate as a BMW Motorrad Motorsport Official Team Japan. Following our victory in the JSB1000 of the MFJ All Japan Road Race Championship, as well as our strong performances at the Suzuka 8 Hours and the Bol d\u2019Or 24 Hours, we were honored to receive an invitation to compete as an Official Team from Japan. This is a tremendous honor for our team, and in 2026, we will race as Japan\u2019s first BMW Motorrad Motorsport Official Team Japan.\u00a0<\/p><p>For the 2026 rider lineup, the team will field\u00a0<strong>Naomichi Uramoto<\/strong>, who finished third overall in the JSB1000 last season, alongside BMW Motorrad Motorsport factory riders\u00a0<strong>Sylvain Guintoli<\/strong>\u00a0(France) and\u00a0<strong>Hannes Soomer<\/strong>\u00a0(Estonia), forming a powerful three-rider squad.\u00a0<\/p><p>Former FIM Superbike World Championship (WSBK) and FIM Endurance World Championship titleholder Sylvain Guintoli, together with Hannes Soomer, who claimed Superstock class victories at the 8 Hours of Spa Motos and Bol d\u2019Or last season, are expected to significantly elevate the team\u2019s overall potential. Meanwhile, Naomichi Uramoto\u2019s speed and consistency are already highly regarded throughout the EWC paddock. With these three riders, AutoRace Ube Racing Team will challenge for the World Championship title in the FIM EWC.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>In 2026 season, Tea<span style=\"font-size: 0.875rem;\">m Manager will be Tsunetaka Igami, who will lead the team\u2019s on-track operations and race strategy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 0.875rem;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><strong>Tsune Igami (Team Manager AutoRace Ube Racing Team):\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cWe are very happy to be the BMW Motorrad Motorsport Official Team in Japan. Last year the performance from the AutoRace Ube team straight away with the BMW was incredible, not only in the All Japan Championship, where Naomichi managed to win two races, but also to be ultra-competitive in the Suzuka 8 Hours as well as at the Bol d\u2019Or for their first 24-hour race at very short notice. They did an amazing job last year, so for me to step in now feels like it makes a lot of sense and like extra motivation to try and bring some experience into the team, to try to make it sort of successful straight away and help with the adaptation.
