EWC EXPLAINER: HOW POINTS ARE SCORED

The 2024 FIM Endurance World Championship revs up at Le Mans in France next month. Ahead of the season-opening 24 Heres Motos from 18-21 April, here’s a reminder of how points are scored in the EWC.
Qualifying:
Points are awarded to the fastest five Formula EWC and Superstock teams according to the combined qualifying results as follows:
1st = 5 points; 2nd = 4 points; 3rd = 3 points; 4th = 2 points; 5th = 1 point
8 HOURS OF SPA MOTOS AND 45TH COCA-COLA SUZUKA 8 HOURS ENDURANCE RACE:
1st = 30 points; 2nd = 24 points; 3rd 21 points; 4th = 19 points; 5th = 17 points; 6th = 15 points; 7th = 14 points; 8th = 13 points; 9th = 12 points; 10th = 11 points; 11th = 10 points; 12th = 9 points; 13th = 8 points; 14th = 7 points; 15th = 6 points; 16th = 5 points; 17th = 4 points; 18th = 3 points; 19th = 2 points; 20th = 1 point.
24 Heures Motos and Bol d’Or:
After 8 Hours:
For the 24 Heures Motos and Bol d’Or, points are awarded after eight hours, after 16 hours and after 24 hours. After eight hours, the leading 10 Formula EWC and Superstock teams score points as follows:
1st = 10 points; 2nd = 9 points; 3rd = 8 points; 4th = 7 points; 5th = 6 points; 6th = 5 points; 7th = 4 points; 8th = 3 points; 9th = 2 points; 10th = 1 point
After 16 Hours:
After 16 hours of the 24 Heures Motos and Bol d’Or, the leading 10 Formula EWC and Superstock teams score points as follows:
1st = 10 points; 2nd = 9 points; 3rd = 8 points; 4th = 7 points; 5th = 6 points; 6th = 5 points; 7th = 4 points; 8th = 3 points; 9th = 2 points; 10th = 1 point
After 24 hours (Bol d’Or points multiplied by 1.5):
1st = 40 points; 2nd = 33 points; 3rd = 28 points; 4th = 24 points; 5th = 21 points; 6th = 19 points; 7th = 17 points; 8th = 15 points; 9th = 13 points; 10th = 11 points; 11th = 10 points; 12th = 9 points; 13th = 8 points; 14th = 7 points; 15th = 6 points; 16th = 5 points; 17th = 4 points; 18th = 3 points; 19th = 2 points; 20th = 1 point.
Le Championnat du Monde d’Endurance de la FIM 2024 débute en France le mois prochain. Avant les 24 heures Motos qui l’ouvriront au Mans du 18 au 21 avril, voici un rappel du système d’attribution des points en EWC.
Qualifications :
Des points sont attribués comme suit aux cinq équipes les plus rapides en Formula EWC et Superstock en fonction des chronos combinés :
1ère = 5 points ; 2e = 4 points ; 3e = 3 points ; 4e = 2 points ; 5e = 1 point.
8 Heures de Spa Motos et 45e Course d’Endurance Coca-Cola des 8 Heures de Suzuka :
1ère = 30 points ; 2e = 24 points ; 3e 21 points ; 4e = 19 points ; 5e = 17 points ; 6e = 15 points ; 7e = 14 points ; 8e = 13 points ; 9e = 12 points ; 10e = 11 points ; 11e = 10 points ; 12e = 9 points ; 13e = 8 points ; 14e = 7 points ; 15e = 6 points ; 16e = 5 points ; 17e = 4 points ; 18e = 3 points ; 19e = 2 points ; 20e = 1 point.
24 Heures Motos et Bol d’Or :
Après 8 heures :
Pour les 24 Heures Motos et le Bol d’Or, des points sont attribués après huit heures, après 16 heures et après 24 heures. Après huit heures, les dix équipes de tête en Formula EWC et Superstock inscrivent des points comme suit :
1ère = 10 points ; 2e = 9 points ; 3e = 8 points ; 4e = 7 points ; 5e = 6 points ; 6e = 5 points ; 7e = 4 points ; 8e = 3 points ; 9e = 2 points ; 10e = 1 point.
Après 16 heures :
Après 16 heures aux 24 Heures Motos et au Bol d’Or, les dix équipes de tête en Formula EWC et Superstock inscrivent des points comme suit :
1ère = 10 points ; 2e = 9 points ; 3e = 8 points ; 4e = 7 points ; 5e = 6 points ; 6e = 5 points ; 7e = 4 points ; 8e = 3 points ; 9e = 2 points ; 10e = 1 point.
Après 24 heures (points multipliés par 1,5 au Bol d’Or) :
